What It’s Really Like to Own a Racehorse in Dubai

Owning a racehorse was once the preserve of a privileged few. Today, shared ownership is opening the sport to a far wider audience — and nowhere is that shift more visible than in Dubai, home to some of the world’s richest racing.

The video below captures what the experience actually feels like: the early mornings, the trackwork, and the moment your horse turns for home.

More than a share certificate

At RaceX, ownership is built around access and experience rather than speculation. Owners visit the horses at Blue Stables, Meydan, watch morning trackwork, and stand in the owners’ enclosure on race nights. It is a racehorse ownership interest — not a financial product — and the value lies in being part of the journey.

Racing in the UAE is governed by the Emirates Racing Authority, while race days at Meydan are staged by the Dubai Racing Club — the organisation behind the Dubai World Cup.

How to get closer to the action

RaceX currently offers shares in Asaassi (FR), a Group-placed gelding rated 100 on dirt and turf with over AED 440,000 in career prize money. RaceX receives 75% of prize money after disbursements to the trainer, jockey and stable. Prize money received by RaceX is then paid to owners according to their ownership percentage.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to follow your own horse from the stable to the starting gate, the simplest next step is to register your interest and join a stable morning.

A racehorse ownership interest — not a financial product. Prize-money distributions depend on race results and are not guaranteed.
