Racehorse Syndication Explained: How Shared Ownership Works in the UAE

Racehorse syndication lets several people share ownership of a Thoroughbred, splitting the cost while sharing the experience. It is the fastest-growing route into the sport worldwide — and increasingly popular in the UAE.

How a syndicate works

Instead of buying a whole horse, you own a fraction — a share — and enjoy the benefits of ownership: stable visits, race-day access, trainer and jockey updates, and a pro-rata portion of prize money. With RaceX, training, vet and stabling costs are covered, so the share price is the only cost of joining.

The UAE framework

Racing in the Emirates is regulated by the Emirates Racing Authority, which licenses trainers and jockeys and registers every runner. Race meetings at Meydan are organised by the Dubai Racing Club. RaceX receives 75% of prize money after disbursements to the trainer, jockey and stable. Prize money received by RaceX is then paid to owners according to their ownership percentage.

Getting started

Our guide to racehorse syndication in Dubai walks through the detail, and you can register your interest to see current share availability. Remember: a share is a racehorse ownership interest — not a financial product — and prize money is never guaranteed.
