Asaassi is a well-bred seven-year-old gelding by top sire Sea The Moon (sire of Group 1 winners) out of the Montjeu mare Octavine. He has won 4 races at 3, 5 and 6 years, at home and in the UAE, and was placed 5 times — including a fourth in the Dubai Millennium Stakes (Gr.3) at Meydan.
Effective on turf and the all-weather over 1m2f to 1m4f, he comes from a deep, black-type-rich family: his third dam Dievotchka is the ancestress of Group 1 winner Esoterique and a host of Group performers. He is trained by Marwan Al Baidhaei at Blue Stables, Meydan — a sound, progressive type for the UAE programme.

Asaassi — Another Morning on the Tapeta
Asaassi was back out on the Tapeta this morning as his preparation for the new UAE racing season continues. He worked nicely down the track and continues to look comfortable and settled in his work. His preparation has been building steadily over the past few weeks, and it is good to see him progressing as we move closer to the start of the season. For now, it is about continuing the work, building his fitness and getting him ready for the racing ahead. Another morning's work done — and another step closer to raceday. Racing feels different when it’s your horse. Have a horse to follow.

Another early start at the stable this morning as Asaassi continues preparations for the approaching UAE racing season.
Asaassi worked on the Tapeta track this morning and continues to look very comfortable in his work. He was moving freely, looked particularly well and continues to build steadily as his preparation progresses.
